Images and performances produced during my time on Oahu from 2015 to 2018 that do not fit neatly into a singular body of work. Despite this, I find them to be significant to understanding the history of my art practice and the things that I think are important.

Drawings

As many “drawers” can attest, academia with either turn you into a painter or a printmaker. Drawings are often seen as a supplementary step to a final product, the thing before the great thing.

Drawing has always been an important part of my art practice and fighting for its place among the fine arts has been a lifelong challenge.

Minor Performances

Graduate school offered me the opportunity to hold several minor performances. Few were held before large audiences.

MFA in Printmaking

My relationship with printmaking, specifically woodcut, is deeply emotional. During graduate school, I produced a few editions, most within my first semester of school. I could not receive feedback on them objectively so I resolved to not share them with the public.
