WHAT
GRRIC Contemporary is an artist collective founded by Terra Keck (myself), Nisha Pinjani and Jan Dickey during their time at the University of Hawai'i. GRRIC operates as a performative curatorial body where the work is never as important as the curators. Anarchic in nature and down-right disruptive, we have works and shows that explore the nature of activism, the current political climate of the world, and the role of art curators, always with an air of absurdity.
What began as a joke at the expense of artistic institutions has found its way into galleries and performance art exhibitions through-out Honolulu, Hawai'i.
